Remote Corner
Bed & Breakfast
ABOUT
Remote Corner Bed and Breakfast is a family owned and run establishment tucked away in a gorgeous garden setting in Parkview. It is just minutes from downtown Johannesburg, Braamfontein, Parktown and Rosebank. The most frequently heard guests’ comment is; we had no idea that one could find a place like this in Johannesburg.
Guests are constantly amazed by the garden, the birdlife, the tranquility and the welcoming friendly staff. If you prefer a relaxed, friendly environment, where children are welcome, but a weary business traveler is equally at home, then Remote Corner is that secret country place in the city.
Our rates are excellent value for money. We understand that times are tough and also understand that some guests may be on a tighter budget, we therefore also offer a small, quaint budget room for those guests who require a reasonable rate in a safe, sought after area. Our rooms are charming, tasteful, clean and uncluttered, and all open onto the garden.

LOCATION
Parkview is a sought after, upmarket, original Johannesburg suburb with a village feel. The Sunday Times newspaper recently voted Parkview as one of the best, if not the best suburb in South Africa. This survey was based on the amenities the suburb has: namely good schools, parks, shops, sports facilities, places of worship, library, police station, post office and quality of living.
Parkview is one of 'The Parks', just north of Parktown and Westcliff; our central location is very convenient for most of the main Johannesburg hospitals including: The Milpark Hospital,(less than 2km away), The Wits Donald Gordon, The Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic, The Nelson Mandela Childrens' and the Netcare Rosebank Hospitals. The Brenthurst, Headache, Parklane and Genesis Maternity Clinics are all less than 5km away.
